The Kolymbetra Garden

Next to the Valley of the Temples, there is the “gods’ garden”, called the Kolymbetra Garden. In the ancient Rome, the kolymbetra was a pool or a tank used to collect water. This valley, full of water and vegetation, was named after the presence of holes and underground pathways, dug into the rock. It’s a valley characterised by hypogeum, caves and the Mediterranean flora with scents of secular olive trres, citrus trees and almond trees. The Kolymbetra garden is a magical place, a unique location in which you can walk through wooded paths and observe Agrigento’s beauty in the distance.
